Ortaköy is an upscale little riverside suburb with beautiful views of the Asian side. On nice weekends the pedestrian-only streets near the water are thronged with well-dressed locals, browsing the goods for sale in boutiques and sidewalk stands, drinking remarkably expensive drinks in the cafés, but mainly just checking each other out.
